Conditions

The Conditions tab decides whether an element renders at all. Not whether it's
visually hidden — whether Oxygen outputs it. A element that fails its conditions produces
no markup, so there's nothing in the page source to find.

The Conditions tab

The tab holds three independent controls.

Visible

A plain on/off switch, on by default. Turn it off and the element stops rendering on the
front end while staying exactly where it is in your layout and in the Structure panel.

It's the quickest way to park something — a section you're not ready to publish, a
seasonal banner between seasons — without deleting it or moving it somewhere odd.

Only Show Element If

Rule-based display. Click Edit Conditions and build rules: user role, logged-in
status, post type, the current date, a custom field's value, and so on. The element
renders only when the rules pass.

Rules can be combined with AND within a group and OR across groups, and they draw on the
same condition catalog that decides which template applies to a page. The full walkthrough
— building rules, the AND/OR structure, everything you can test — is in
Element Display Conditions.

Note: Visible and Only Show Element If are separate mechanisms, not two settings of
one switch. Visible off wins regardless of any rules you've built.

In-Builder Preview

A dropdown with two choices — Always Show and Always Hide — that affects the
builder canvas only, never the front end.

Conditions are evaluated for real while you edit, which is usually what you want but makes
a conditional element awkward to work on: a block that only appears for logged-out
visitors is invisible to you, because you're logged in. Set In-Builder Preview to Always
Show and you can style it; leave the dropdown empty and the canvas behaves normally.
