License

The License tab is where you enter your Oxygen license key and opt in to beta updates.
It's the first tab on the Oxygen settings page — in wp-admin, go to Oxygen → Settings,
or navigate directly to admin.php?page=oxygen_settings&tab=license.

Adding your license key

Paste your key into the License Key field and click Save Changes. Oxygen checks
the key with the licensing server and, if it's valid, activates it for this site
automatically — no separate activation step needed.

Your key is in the customer portal. Don't have one
yet? Purchase at oxygenbuilder.com.

The list under the field shows what the licensing server knows about your key:

  • Product — the product the key is for.
  • License Key Validity — whether the key itself is valid.
  • Activation Status — whether the key is active on this site: Active,
    Not activated, Invalid key, License has expired, License key revoked,
    or License is not valid for this product.
  • Expires On — the key's expiration date and how far away it is. Lifetime licenses
    show n/a.

Before a key has been entered — or when the licensing server can't be reached — all four
show Unknown.

Activating and deactivating

Activation ties your key to this site and counts against the license's activation limit.
Saving a valid key activates it automatically, so most of the time you never think about
this — but two buttons appear next to the field when they're relevant:

  • Activate License — shows when the saved key is valid but not active on this site.
  • Deactivate License — shows when the key is active here. Deactivate before retiring
    a site (or when moving to a new domain) to free the activation slot for use elsewhere.

To remove a key entirely, clear the field and click Save Changes.

Running without a license

Oxygen's features aren't locked behind the license — a site without a key is fully
functional. Instead, unlicensed sites show a small Built with Oxygen badge in the
bottom-right corner of the front end (visible to all visitors), and a Get Pro page
appears in the Oxygen admin menu. Entering your license key removes both.

Beta Versions

Check Receive beta version updates and click Save Changes to get beta releases
through the normal WordPress updates screen, alongside stable releases. Uncheck it at any
time to go back to stable-only.
