Text

The Text element displays a run of text — a heading, a paragraph, a label. It renders as
a single HTML element (a div by default) containing exactly what you type, and inline
HTML in the text is rendered, not escaped, so <strong>, <em>, <br>, and similar
tags work.

Content

The Content tab has one control: the Text field, a multiline box holding the
element's text.

Hover the field and a dynamic data button appears — use it to insert dynamic
data
such as the post title or a custom field.

Editing on the canvas

You don't have to use the panel: double-click the text on the canvas and type. The
element becomes editable in place, and your changes sync to the Text field as you go.

HTML tag

The default tag is div. Click the tag in the top-right corner of the properties panel
to change it — Text offers span, p, h1 through h6, li, and blockquote, and
you can type any other valid tag. This is how you make headings: a Text element with its
tag set to h1–h6.

On the front end

Text renders as one element: your chosen tag with a generated per-element class, the
oxy-text element class, and any classes you added. The content is output exactly as
entered, with any inline HTML intact.

  • Rich Text — text edited with a WYSIWYG editor
    instead of a plain field.
  • Text Link — text that renders as a link (a
    tag).
