Advanced
The Advanced tab collects options that change how Oxygen outputs and stores content —
security-sensitive switches, an accessibility feature, a debugging tool, and revision
housekeeping. In wp-admin, go to Oxygen → Settings → Advanced. Check or uncheck
options, then click Save Changes.

Allow SVG Uploads In The WP Media Library
WordPress blocks SVG uploads by default because SVG files can contain scripts. Enabling
this option allows them into the Media Library. Only enable it if you trust everyone who
can upload files; if in doubt, use a plugin like
Safe SVG, which sanitizes SVGs on upload
instead of allowing them through untouched.
Accessibility: Skip Link
Adds a "skip to main content" link to each page and wraps your page content in a
<main> tag, so keyboard and screen-reader users can jump past the header straight to
the content. It's enabled by default on new installs.
The text field sets the link's label; leave it empty to use the default,
"Skip to main content." The link doesn't render on headers and footers themselves — it
skips past them.
Apply the_content filter to Oxygen content
By default, Oxygen does not run WordPress's the_content filter on Oxygen-designed
content. Some plugins rely on that filter to do their work. Enable this to make Oxygen
run apply_filters('the_content', ...) on singular content created with Oxygen.
Anything hooked to the_content — by any plugin — will then run on your Oxygen pages,
so understand the security implications before enabling it.
Allow unfiltered HTML in all dynamic data output
By default, Oxygen runs dynamic data fields through wp_kses_post when the post's
author lacks the unfiltered_html capability, stripping scripts and other dangerous
markup. Checking Allow turns that filtering off everywhere. Leave it off unless you
fully trust every user who can author content — with it on, a lower-privileged author's
field content can inject arbitrary HTML into your pages.
Enable rendering performance debugger
Makes Oxygen report render timings via the
Server Timing API,
visible in your browser's devtools network panel. It's meant for troubleshooting: enable
it while you investigate, then turn it off again to avoid the measurement overhead.
Revisions
Oxygen stores revisions of your designs as you save (you can restore them from the
editor's ••• → History → Revisions panel). Two settings keep the stored revisions
from growing forever:
- Limit Revisions — when enabled, each save prunes a page's oldest Oxygen revisions
beyond the limit. - Max Revisions — the number of revisions to keep per page (default 15). Only
applies while Limit Revisions is enabled.
