WP Grid Builder

WP Grid Builder is a paid filtering plugin — the same job
as FacetWP, a different implementation. Oxygen has built-in support for it: build your
facets in WP Grid Builder, place them as Oxygen elements, and turn on one toggle on the loop
they filter.

Create the facets in WP Grid Builder first. Oxygen reads what you've defined there.

Filter a loop with WP Grid Builder

  1. Build your listing as usual with a loop element, and check it outputs the posts you want
    before adding filtering.
  2. Select the loop element and open its Content tab.
  3. Scroll to the WP Grid Builder section at the bottom of the tab and turn Enable WP
    Grid Builder
    on.
  4. Add a GridbuilderWP Facet element to the page for each facet you want to show.
  5. With the Facet element selected, pick the facet from the Facet dropdown — the list
comes straight from your WP Grid Builder facets.
  6. Save and view the page on the front end.

Note: facets only render on the front end. In the builder the Facet element shows a
placeholder instead. That's expected.

What the toggle actually does

Turning Enable WP Grid Builder on adds the wpgb-content class to that loop's wrapper —
the marker WP Grid Builder looks for when deciding which markup to refresh — and tags the
loop's query so the current facet selections apply to it.

Both are per-element, so only one loop per page can be filtered.

Note: when a loop queries a single post type, Oxygen passes it to WP Grid Builder as a
string rather than a one-item array. Some WP Grid Builder facets don't work otherwise.
Nothing to configure — it's worth knowing only if you're inspecting the query yourself.

Pagination

Enabling WP Grid Builder switches off Oxygen's own pagination for that loop and hides the
loop's Pagination controls while it's on — the filtering plugin owns paging, because it is
the thing re-running the query.

Add a facet with the Load Content action below the loop to page the results instead.

Troubleshooting

The facet renders but nothing filters

Check Enable WP Grid Builder is on for the loop element, not the facet, and that only
one loop on the page has it enabled.

The Facet element says it requires a plugin

The element prints "The "GridbuilderWP Facet" element requires the plugins "WP Grid
Builder"
" when the plugin isn't installed and active. Activate it and reload the builder.

The Facet dropdown is empty

No facets have been created in WP Grid Builder yet. Build one there first.

The loop shows a warning about the Slider layout

WP Grid Builder can't drive a loop laid out as a slider. Switch the loop to a grid or list
layout, or drop the filtering on that loop.
