Container Link

The Container Link is a Container that's a link:
the whole box — a card, a banner, a feature tile — becomes one big clickable area. It
renders as a single a tag wrapping its children.

Content

  • URL — the destination. The link button inside the field opens WordPress's
Insert/edit link dialog to search your existing pages and posts; hover the field
for the dynamic data button to link to dynamic
    data
such as the current post's URL — essential when
the card lives inside a loop.
  • Open In New Tab — off by default; when on, the link renders with
    target="_blank".

A new Container Link has no URL — the link does nothing until you set one.

Building inside it

Fill it like any Container: it accepts any
element as a child, and nesting works the same way.

The one exception: links can't be nested inside links — that's invalid HTML, and
the builder enforces it. With a Container Link selected, inserting a Text Link or
another Container Link places the new element next to it rather than inside.

On the front end

Container Link renders as one a tag (fixed — no tag chooser) carrying a generated
per-element class, the oxy-container-link class, your href and target, with all of
its children inside.

  • Container — the same box without the link.
  • Text Link — when only a run of text should be
    clickable.
