Image

The Image element displays a single image from the media library or an external URL. It
renders as a plain img tag with responsive srcset and lazy loading handled for you.

A new Image shows a gray placeholder until you choose a picture.

Choosing the image

The Content tab starts with From — where the image comes from:

  • Media Library — click Choose under Media to pick the image from the
    WordPress media library.
  • URL — paste any image URL instead.

Hover the Media control for the dynamic data button — bind the image to dynamic
data
such as the post's featured image or an image
custom field.

Size

For media library images, Size picks which registered WordPress size to serve:
Full (the default), your install's registered sizes — Thumbnail, Medium, Medium
Large, Large, and any added by your setup, each listed with its dimensions — or
Custom…, which asks for a width and height.

Alt text

Alt controls the image's alt attribute:

  • Media Library (the default) — use the alt text saved on the attachment in the
    media library.
  • Custom — type the alt text in the Custom Alt field that appears.
  • Decorative — for purely decorative images. For images chosen by URL, only Custom
    and Decorative are available.

Loading behavior

  • Lazy Load — on by default; renders the image with loading="lazy" so browsers
defer loading it until it's near the viewport. Turn it off for above-the-fold images
    you want loaded immediately.
  • Disable Srcset & Sizes (media library images only) — by default the image gets
srcset and sizes attributes listing the available WordPress sizes so browsers pick
the best one. This toggle strips them, forcing every visitor to get exactly the file
    the Size control selects.

On the front end

The element renders a single img tag — no wrapper — with a generated per-element
class and the oxy-image class, plus the src, alt, loading, srcset, and sizes
attributes your settings produce. The tag is fixed.
