As we said from the day we shipped Breakdance, the development of Breakdance would help Oxygen.
Initially, the introduction of Breakdance was met with skepticism by some who questioned our allocation of resources.
Today, we are excited to share three ways it will significantly enhance the Oxygen ecosystem – and there are many more to come.
Rest assured, these are add-ons. They are not included in Oxygen core. They are optional. But they are now included for free, with your lifetime license.
Breakdance Forms for Oxygen
Even though we said we’d never do a form builder in Oxygen—we did one for Breakdance. Now that Breakdance and Oxygen run on the same core builder engine, we are able to make the form builder from Breakdance available as an optional add-on for Oxygen.
Breakdance’s form builder sets a new standard—it’s the best forms functionality you’ll find in any visual builder. Conditional control display? Breakdance includes it. Multi-step forms? Covered. Webhooks? Included. It is not meant to rival top-notch forms plugins like WS Form, but for 80% of use cases, it’s everything you need.
It’s now included free, with your Oxygen lifetime license, as an optional add-on – Breakdance Forms for Oxygen.
Breakdance’s Elements, in Oxygen
Oxygen is a developer-first platform. It prioritizes a fundamentals-first approach to website building. It remains class-based, embracing direct code manipulation in a visual interface and offering 1:1 abstractions that align closely with the underlying HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
The foundational philosophy of Oxygen is centered on building with fundamental HTML elements and styling with classes, harnessing the full potential of code, akin to platforms like Webflow. This approach has positioned us as the most popular class-based builder within the WordPress ecosystem as of 2025 – with over 180,000 sites according to BuiltWith’s data.
But, it also means Oxygen is not suitable for those who don’t know HTML and CSS, which is the vast majority of WordPress users. As part of our mission to make building top-notch websites easier for everyone, not just professionals, we built Breakdance – an element-based builder, designed to be exceptionally user-friendly, catering even to non-technical users. Breakdance offers an impressive suite of 140 high-quality elements. Now, we’re bringing many of these elements to Oxygen an an optional add-on – Breakdance Elements for Oxygen.

Breakdance’s Integration with WooCommerce, Now In Oxygen
Historically, Oxygen Classic included robust integration with WooCommerce. This integration was highly effective at the time. However, the digital landscape and our vision for WooCommerce capabilities within Oxygen have evolved significantly.
As of 2025, Breakdance boasts the most advanced WooCommerce integration of any visual builder on the market, surpassing all other builders in functionality. Thanks to our successful completion of an initiative to make both Breakdance and the new Oxygen run on the same core builder engine, all functionality and elements in Breakdance’s integration with WooCommerce have been seamlessly integrated into Oxygen as an add-on. This includes Breakdance’s global styling functionality and other features in Breakdance that relate to WooCommerce.
This integration is completely optional, allowing you to stick to the traditional Oxygen method of class-based styling instead of using it. Ultimately, we are very excited for the development of variable and class sets for WooCommerce that can be easily imported into Oxygen by our community, and we expect this to become the standard Oxygen way of styling WooCommerce.
Regardless of your choice, the Breakdance WooCommerce Integration for Oxygen is now included with your lifetime license, at no extra charge.
Revenue Strategy Moving Forward
Some may wonder, without recurring revenue, how will we sustain our business? Firstly, it’s important to note that our business remains healthy and robust. We regularly acquire new customers, and with the launch of the new Oxygen platform, we anticipate a significant influx of users. However, we recognize the benefits of recurring revenue.
To address this, we are considering the introduction of optional subscription-based add-ons. These will not be core features of Oxygen, so there’s no need for concern about the fundamental functionality being gated behind additional payments. For example, one add-on could be an AI content writing assistant, offered for a modest annual fee. This would provide AI content writing possibilities to those who choose it, without impacting the base experience for all users.
