Creating Templates
To create a template in Oxygen, go to Oxygen > Templates from the WordPress admin panel.
Once there, you can click the Add Template button to create a new template. You will need to set the:
- Title: The title used to display your template in the admin area.
- Location: Define where your template is applied. There are several options, from Everywhere to specific post types.
- Conditions: Apply conditions to further refine the visibility of the template based on specific variables.
- Priority: Priority controls whether this template will override other templates when multiple templates can apply in a given scenario. Usually it is best to leave this at default, but if you have multiple templates you may need to adjust their priority. The template with the larger number for priority will be displayed on the front end.

Once you’ve set the above options, click “Add template” in the bottom right of the template modal.
You will then see a list of your templates. The list shows the template name, where they’re applied, if they contain any conditions, the priority of the template and an “Active” indicator that shows whether the template is currently in use or not.
